As I have been working on many things and decluttering on tonight I have been pondering many things. I have thought about the current events. I have thought about the changes the Lord has us making. I have thought about the future. I have thought about where I really fit and if I really fit at all. I may just be a misfit for the Lord (LOL) and I am okay with that. I have wondered if many will truly trust God and depend on Him. I have questioned; How many truly live to led by the Lord? I have thought about areas I could trust God more. I have thought about the load and the call of God. I know now why I have never truly been attached to anything this world has to offer. Then I let out a big sigh... Jesus this is truly NOT MY HOME...but while I am here I will live for you and bring glory to your name. #iWillRest
Have you been feeling how some say "some type of way?" Have these same feelings and questions been brewing in you? Keep processing and keep asking because the Lord hears you and He will answer. As you keep coming to Him with the burdens He will bring rest to your soul.
Prayer more than ever has been stirring in my spirit. It could be because I am an intercessor (LOL). I have been reading this book about becoming a prayer saturated church. I have been desiring to lead in a better way as the prayer director at our church. Anyhow, the author pointed out that our churches needed to become houses of prayer. Just reading that and seeing the verse again sent shivers all over me. I knew this was God. Today, I do not want to point out the church but ourselves. God not only wants the places we go and worship together to become houses of prayer He want us; his sons and daughters to become houses of prayer.
That means that prayer must become bread and water to us. It must be essential for living and not just something we use in case of an emergency. God wants to abide in us just as much as he wants us to abide in Him. But Saints we have got to be the people that long after His presence. We have got to be people that relentlessly seek after Him. We have got to be the people that are willing to live for Him just as sure as we are ready to die for Him. We cannot get more of His presence, more of His peace, more of His grace, more of His power, and just more of HIM unless we are willing to spend time with the Father in heaven who desires to hear from us. We can’t do drive by prayers all the time with the Lord. We have to want to cultivate a relationship with Him. We have to hunger after the Lord more than the things of this world. The pull to become engulfed in the things of this world are strong. But our God is bigger and stronger. However, He will NOT overpower your will because He gives us free will. Would you ever want anyone to be in love with you because you made them, or you wooed them with extravagant gifts, and they felt obligated to love you? Geez I hope not! Our Father in heaven does not want your love for Him like that neither. God gave His one and ONLY Son to die for you and I and the best thing we can do is worship Him with our lives. You must want to! You must begin to see how important connecting to the Father through prayer is. Its life changing. It will shake you up for good and for His glory. Psalm 100 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. As I read this Psalm my spirit immediately leaps, and I want to shout to the Lord. Before I enter into prayer, I first ask the Lord to come and invade my space, to lead the way, and to speak what He wants to my heart. Then I set the atmosphere with praise and worship to our God. Most of the time I use instrumental music and I allow the Lord’s presence to move in such way that He gives me words to the music. It is a beautiful thing. When I come into His presence with thanksgiving, praise, and worship it brings my mind into focus. I always have my journal; in my journal I have space to write the things that I am thankful for. I always try and write something different because as time goes by and I get weary, I can go back and give Him thanks for everything that I have already written down. Why? Because it is so easy when we are down to think that the Lord has not done much for us at all. Let’s be real here!
If you would like to please feel free to share music that brings you into the presence of our almighty God. Here is one of my favorites: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyXa2tdBTGc This is my favorite go to. I just put it on repeat. Question:
Mission Possible: Spend 30-60 minutes just listening to worship music and being still before the Lord. Blessings and have a wonderful day! Only By His Grace DeLonda Adams By Gina Brackett There is no greater privilege than being the daughter of the most high God. Jehovah is my refuge and my strength. He provides, protects, and looks after my family. We that are in Christ have to remember that we serve a God that is able to change the hearts of man. He can heal the sick and humble the proud. The enemy wants us to fear and focus on the hatred and chaos around us. Let's press on and focus on the higher calling that God has for us. Let's use our God given gifts to continue to fight the good fight of loving our neighbor as ourselves, giving a voice to the voiceless, helping the poor and taking strategic action to benefit our communities. With God before us who can be against us? "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
